Head of Modern Foreign Languages
Teachers Pay Scale (MPS/UPS), plus TLR £6,825pa, permanent.
We seek to appoint a forward thinking and motivated individual to lead our
Modern Foreign Languages Department. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards and ensuring inspirational teaching. This role also involves responsibility for assisting the Head of EBacc Faculty in monitoring and improving the quality of teaching and learning, assessment and feedback.
Education to degree level with QTS status is essential, as is recent experience of leading, or assisting with leading a department. You will be a qualified teacher of Spanish ideally with the ability to teach French as a second subject. This job requires an up to date knowledge and understanding of the curriculum and assessment, reporting and recording processes relating to MFL, plus a clear understanding of the elements of outstanding teaching and learning.

This is an opportunity to take on a vital role in the school with the scope to make a difference. We are seeking a self-motivated individual to support the busy school administration function.
An understanding of school systems and experience of working in a school setting is desirable, but it is essential that the person for this role is organised, able to multi-task and work flexibly. You should be able to prioritise work, have good organisational skills and work with a high degree of confidentiality. You should have a good standard of literacy and numeracy, be proficient in using Microsoft Office and have a flair for photography and social media.
