Are you committed to kick-starting social mobility? Do you want to work in a vibrant, aspirational and caring community? Then you will find what you are looking for at The Queen Katherine School.
The Queen Katherine School is an 11-18 Academy with 1,000 students on roll. We have a constant focus on improving the quality of the education we deliver and time is given each week to developing Learning and Teaching across the school. Great emphasis is also placed on the community element of school life and this can be seen throughout the school in our ‘Proud to Belong’ ethos.
The Queen Katherine School enjoys a great location in Kendal, Cumbria. Kendal is known as the gateway to the Lake District, six miles from junction 36 of the M6 motorway and only a few miles from the sea. Kendal is especially well placed to cater for walking, mountain biking, canoeing, climbing and a host of other outdoor pursuits. The scenic surroundings, low crime rate and vibrant community activities add to Kendal’s appeal.
The school is committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure via the Disclosure & Barring Services (DBS).
