We aim to provide a welcoming and safe environment where students and their families are respected and valued. We are always watchful for signs of abuse or neglect and follow the appropriate steps to make sure children get the support, protection, and justice they need. All children, no matter their age, gender, ability, culture, race, language, religion, or sexual identity, have the right to protection.

Every Local Authority area has an Independent Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB). LSCB’s are responsible for ensuring agencies work together to safeguard children and for testing how effectively this happens. The Cumbria LSCB became The Cumbria Safeguarding Children Partnership (CSCP) in 2019.
