Sixth Form at QKS: Find Out More
Head of Sixth Form: Miss R Nelson
In Years 12 and 13 all students study 3 or sometimes 4 courses (A levels or BTecs) from a wide range of over 23 subjects.
There are 3 different pathways combining A levels or Vocational subjects: A level only, A level and BTecs or exclusively BTec. Each pathway enables students to re-sit GCSE English and Maths if they did not make the required standards.
Find out more about the 23 Level 3 courses delivered through 3 curriculum pathways in our prospectus. With this level of choice and flexibility, there is something to suit everyone.
Students are also supported through a thorough tutorial programme and have additional timetabled opportunities through a varied enhancement programme, including EPQ, MOOC and volunteering along with a wide range of extra-curricular clubs, field work, residential, visits, along with Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Students in the Sixth Form are treated as adults, with additional responsibilities and rights. They play an increased role within the school and wider community.
Our Sixth Form Open Evening is held on Thursday 14 November, 5.30-7.30pm.
This is an opportunity to meet key Sixth Form staff and the teachers of each of our 23 level 3 courses to find out more about each course.
Every day is an Open Day at QKS and you are very welcome to come and tour our Sixth Form during the school day and see us in action. Please contact Ruth Nelson, Head of Sixth Form, to arrange your visit.
