Congratulations to our fantastic Year 11 students who received their results in August. The results are a testament to their hard work, excellent teaching, and support from all QKS staff. We could not be prouder of them.
Executive Headteacher Jon Hayes said on results day:
It has been great to see all the students today as they collect their results. As ever, we are immensely proud of them and their achievements. With the support of the amazing staff, they have achieved some incredible results, and we wish them the very best with the next steps in their education with many joining our superb Sixth Form. It is always worth remembering that school isn’t just about exam results and our students also take with them a whole host of experiences, skills and attributes that will help them for the rest of their lives. On the back of our incredible Ofsted report earlier this year and fantastic A level results lats week it has been a very successful year for QKS and our students. Well done to each and every one of them.

Their hard work, resilience and determination have led to a set of excellent results. As they move on to the next stage of their journey, they leave behind a legacy of success, ambition and positive contribution that will be remembered at QKS for years to come. We would like to congratulate all our Year 13 students receiving their A level and vocational results today; they have shown amazing resilience over the last few years, and their results are a testament to all their hard work. We are so proud of them all.

Today we are celebrating our incredible students and their exam success, congratulations to every one of them.
It has been great to see so many happy students excitedly collecting their results today and planning for their futures after two years of hard work. Alongside their superb grades, our students are taking with them a wealth of experiences and skills that they have developed alongside their academic expertise through work experience, Duke of Edinburgh, educational visits and voluntary work. All of this will stand them in good stead as they take the next steps in their lives, and we wish them all the very best for the future.
A massive thank you to all the staff whose hard work has supported the students to achieve these grades.
Ruth Nelson, Head of Sixth Form, said on results day:
I would like to warmly commend our students on their achievements and celebrate the diverse range of choices they have made as they move forward with their education and careers. Our students have been highly successful in securing places on a wide variety of academic and vocational pathways, from Japanese and Linguistics in York and Politics and International Relations in Sheffield, to highly valued apprenticeships in areas such as Education and Healthcare.
As a team, we are incredibly proud of all our students and feel privileged to have played a part in their journey through Sixth Form. They leave us with an impressive range of qualifications, skills and experiences, but, above all, we celebrate each student as an individual who has excelled and made their own unique contribution to our community. We wish them every success and happiness as they embark on the next exciting chapter of their lives.

Scarlett Smyth – A* Art, A* Design Technology, A Sociology, A EPQ. Scarlett is going on to study Foundation Art and Design at Kendal College.
Eddy Ubong – A* Biology, A* Chemistry, A Maths, A EPQ. Eddy is going on to study in Nigeria.
Neve Moore – A Psychology, A RS, A Sociology. Neve will be taking a gap year.
Madeleine Martindale – A History, A Maths, A Physics. Madeleine is going on to study Physics after taking a year out to travel and work.

Wilfred Barber – A History, B Business Studies, C Design Technology. Wilfred is going on to study a Foundation Art Degree at Kendal College.
Thomas Lovett – A History, A RS, B English. Thomas is going on to study History and Politics at the University of Birmingham.
Charlotte Stainer – A Geography, A Art, B English. Charlotte is going to study English at Manchester University after taking a gap year.
Katie Lowis – Distinction Health and Social Care, C Sociology. Katie is going on to take on the role of Learning Support Apprentice at Ullswater Community College.
On picking up his results Abdul (pictured above) said: “I feel relieved and elated. I am glad to have been part of this amazing community, found friends, had laughs and made memories.” Abdul is going to Northumbria University to study Aerospace.
